A Soirée to Remember

Our hearts are full after the wonderful success of our first Solstice Soirée on December 16th, 2023. We are so grateful for the outpouring of love and support from our local Minnesota community, and outreach from friends and supporters abroad. This event, and this company for that matter, would not be possible without the community surrounding it.

We are still glowing from the warm, welcoming, art-filled space provided by Groveland Gallery, still full from the delicious drinks and appetizers (including homemade cookies and brownies by the company team), and continuously inspired by the incredible talent and joy showcased in each dance performance throughout the night. We were honored to have Meridian Movement Co, Analog Dance Works and Kendall Kramer as guest performers, and excited to show an excerpt of our company work premiering February 2nd-4th. Our company dance film, Everything Dance Is, also made its debut screening.

The silent auction was also successful and featured work and experiences from lovely local artists and organizations. Thank you so much to the following individuals and spaces for their generous contributions (check out their linked websites to see more of their beautiful work):

ARTISTS: Beth Barron, Bill Cameron, Brenna Mosser, Carolyn Haliday, David LaRochelle, India Johnson, Lauren Stringer, Matthew Smith, Ruth Erickson, Shana Kaplow, Sharon McKendry, Sharon Picasso, Timothy Thompson

ORGANIZATIONS: Circus Juventas, Hothouse Minneapolis, Zenon Dance School

This event has brought our whole company so much energy and brightness in what lies ahead for RJDT. With our first show at The Southern Theater just around the corner and more projects in the works, we are so excited to continue to share and connect with you through it all. Thank you for being with us.
