Rabi’a is not only the Arabic word for Spring, but the name of a historical Islamic Sufi figure, Rabi’a al Adawiyya. This piece explores what we can learn from the themes and teachings of Rabi’a’s extraordinary life, which is filled with mysticism, myth, and discovering the meaning of divine love.
